What are TeleForums?

TeleForums are 60 minute interactive workshops that held over the phone.

Using a conference calling system, you dial in on a special phone line that can take dozens, even hundreds of callers, at the same time.

We currently use Conference Genie and Conference UK, both of which offer reliable UK phone lines and provide the cheapest conference call rate available. Phoning in on a land line means that calls to these conference lines are only 5 pence a minute.

It is advisable that you dial in using a handset and avoid using cordless, hands-free or mobile phones as these often cause static on the line, preventing you and others hearing the workshop clearly.

All our TeleForums are recorded so that you also receive an audio copy to listen again and again. It is amazing how often you pick up on something new when listening to the reply.

Why "Kick-Ass"?

Over the past four years, Karen Skidmore has worked with hundreds of women starting up and growing home businesses in both groups and and with individuals on a 1-2-1 basis.

Karen's support and advice is always practical and straightforward and, as a result, many of these women have referred to Karen's support, coaching and mentoring as having "Kick-Ass" techniques.

The phrase "Kick-Ass" has stuck and, as well as offering these Kick-Ass TeleForums, her blog was also christened "Karen Skidmore's Kick-Ass Blog" in 2007.

Who is Karen Skidmore?

Karen Skidmore started up in business in Autumn 2004 - the same day her daughter started school full time. Having left an 11 year corporate career, Karen wanted to develop a career that could fit around her two children's school days and term times.

Initially Karen had completed a Life Coach accreditation and had planned to start a traditional life coaching practice. Five months of feeling like she was banging her head against a brick wall, she almost gave up. Coming out of this downward spiral was the turning point and she realised that focusing on the business development aspect of running a business was critical to her success.

Over the following years, CanDoCanBe has evolved to become a business support network for women running home businesses. The tools, tricks and techniques to running a successful (and profitable!) home business that Karen was learning and the journey she has been on, made her realise that there were many women, just like her, who wanted and needed an inspirational and supportive business network.

She has created a thriving business support community which offers clients networking events, workshops, business forums, telephone workshops, e-books, a blog, a newsletter, and of course one to one coaching and mentoring.

And it is these lessons that Karen has learnt over the past few years that she intends to share with you during this Kick-Ass TeleForums.
